contract fair to both parties?
- Has an
exclusive territory been granted?
- What is the
term of contract? Is it renewable with onerous
conditions?
- What
provisions are there for the continuation of the business if you
are incapacitated or die?
- Are
obligations of both parties clearly defined?
- Under what
circumstances can the contract be terminated by you or by the
Franchisor?
- Is there a
minimum turnover clause?
- Can you sell
or assign the business? Under what conditions? Are
terms negotiable? They should not be. The
contract should be the same for all Franchisees.
